Volunteers

We are almost always looking for volunteers whether it’s to sit on the Board of Directors for a term or helping at a show. And the good news… You don’t have to know anything about horses. The only requirement is you are dependable and you want to help your local club. Some of the volunteers positions are listed below.

If you think you could spare an afternoon and help us out, let us know!

The following are some volunteer positions we have at every show:

Entry – Entry booth is someone who takes entries in the morning and records results during the day to calculate highpoints. This position requires someone who can attend the booth for the entire show or two people who can switch off.

Announcer – The announcer is required to announce classes, results when they come in, our sponsors etc. No special horse skills needed just a good voice. Would be great if one person could do the whole day (at least you have a good vantage point for the show) or two people one in the morning and one after lunch.

In/Out Gate – A couple of the loneliest jobs there is but no special skills needed. In gate person makes sure riders know it’s time to go into the ring,  Outgate is super simple just open the gate and let people out.

Ribbon Person – Yep it’s just like it sounds – you take ribbons and hand them out to the winners.
